Deep garnet in colour with rosy hues. A bouquet of dark berries, cinnamon and sweet leather. The palate provides ample red and black fruit flavours including rhubarb and cranberry which are balanced by white pepper spice.

Pinot Noir seems to be THE grape of the moment- regardless of where it’s from. The home of the much vaunted Sauvignon Blanc proves that New Zealand deserves as much if not more notice that most other countries. Tim Heath who took over from Kevin Judd as Cloudy Bay’s Head Wine Maker has taken this wine from strength to strength. Good for drinking now, but will keep for a good 5 years. .
